Sintering of a class F fly ash ScienceDirect
May 01, 2008#0183;#32;1. Introduction. Fly ash is an industrial byproduct recovered from the flue gas of coal burning electric power plants. Fly ash particles are mostly spherical in shape and range from less than 1 m to 100 m with a specific surface area, typically between 250 and 600 m 2 /kg. Physical properties of fly ash mainly depend on the type of coal burned and the burning conditions.
